COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Why Volunteer?
Not only can volunteers help the Library; it's a two-way street. Volunteers acquire new skills, meet interesting people and experience the satisfaction of sharing their talents with others.
Who Can Volunteer?
Applications are accepted from community members 12 years and older. (You will need your parents’ or guardians’ permission if you are age 12-17.) We welcome volunteers with a variety of backgrounds, interests, abilities, and time commitments.
What Can I do?
Volunteer opportunities vary depending on current need. However, there are often short-term and long-term opportunities available for an assortment of library activities. At this time, we are not an approved site for court ordered community service.
Safety
Our first priority is to provide a safe environment for all members of our community. Pikes Peak Library District has a background check policy in place for all adult volunteers 18 years and older. There is no cost involved for you and results are kept confidential. Misdemeanor or felony charges do not automatically disqualify you from volunteer service,
